Saturday Schmaturday

On this last day of the year many reflect on the past 12 months and look forward to the future. I say screw that reflection stuff and charge forward content in knowing that what’s done is done and there is no turning back.
My most anticipated for 2006
- The first new Pixies release since ’91s “Trompe Le Monde”
- An older and bolder album from Smoosh
- The sophomore release from The Arcade Fire
- Debuting my spring line at the Magic Marketplace in February.
- Finally taking Tinymeat on the road to some summer music fests. Intonation, Bonnaroo, Bumbershoot, ACL Music Festival
- Getting out of my Jetta 1.8t and into the “One Year Wonder” 1988 BMW M5. 1370 of them came into the states, all black.
Some cool music videos t0 replace the lack of inventive saturday morning cartoons
DangerDoom - “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”
Gorillaz - Long (large ass file) animated set from the Manchester Internation Festival
The Earlies - Morning Wonder
Xiu- Xiu - Muppet Face
Smoosh - La Pump
Wired’s Best and Worst Gadgets of 2005. The same thing albeit slightly different from Cnet. The Motley Fool weighs in.

am a little reticent re the whole smoosh album, i mean, i am afraid we are going to find them all grown up and bitter/melancholy or at the very least i am afraid i will be letdown much in the way i was when marykate and ashley grew up or when macaulay ventured into clubkids…but am keeping my fingers crossed…
