This week, a spotlight on Seattle label Suicide Squeeze.
“Suicide Squeeze Records was started in August of 1996 with the release of a 7″ single from rock outfit, 764-HERO. Since that release, Suicide Squeeze has been aiming all our arrows at top caliber records with a punk rock soul. The label’s start included a number of gems spotlighting the busy Northwest music scene with releases from bands and songwriters like Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, Pedro the Lion and Red Stars Theory.
Recently, Suicide Squeeze has introduced listeners to new sounds from the likes of The Magic Magicians, The Aislers Set, The Six Parts Seven, Minus the Bear, Hella and The Constantines. We are committed to releasing music made with great care, and we’re proud to bring you the records made by the fine artists on our roster.”
Crystal Skulls - “No Room For Change”
Headphones - “Pink and Brown
The Magic Magicians - Cascade Express
Minus the Bear - “Drilling”
Modest Mouse - “Whenever You See Fit, DJ Dynomite D Mix“
With such a deep bench of past, current and future indie faves it’s no wonder that the sounds of Suicide’s roster fill the halls, cubicles and even bathrooms here at Tinymeat.
