I arose from my desk this morning to find that Montpelier’s resident Barney Fife had pulled his police cruiser into the neighbors driveway and proceeded to fire a single shot. Upon closer inspection (rubbernecking out the window) it had appeared that the officer had gunned down a local skunk and was hovering over it before finishing gangland style. I have to tell ya it was quite surreal. Just like Harvey Keitel in a gangster flick.
