ok…well, kinda cool stuff has been transpiring over the last several days and on the top of the list is that DailyCandycontacted us the other day to let us know that they love the TM and are going to post on us Monday…uh, yeah…holy shit! We are totally psyched but then the reality of whether our site can handle the possible crazy-ass amount of traffic(it seems the candy has 1mil subscribers) has Mikey in an eensy armpit tingle…he and Jimmy have been brainstorming and we think we are going to be ok…we think…a part of me thinks it would be the shit to have so many hits that we go down, but we are on a shared server, so…yeah…
other cool stuff is that we have, in our hands, an official kick ass order from a company we have been holding out for(we are still going to keep who it is under wraps until the goods ship)…and we added another indie shop to the TM family, Fifi’s on Grand, in St. Louis…altho, it is moving from Grand St. to Delmar in August. Any of you Missourians(?) in the St. Louis area should stop in and say hello to Kelly and support your local scenester shop…oooo, which reminds me…2 weeks ago we picked up another bitchin’ shop in Missouri, Spool in Kansas City(sorry no site to link to), it’s owned by designer Hadley Johnson who, among other things, makes these sweet tops .
On the downside, the Seattle Music Fest couldn’t secure the funding they needed, so we will be crossing that gig off our list, but we are still hoping to head out west in mid August to see Anna & Brett, Mikey’s family and some of his homies.

Now, that aside…onto other non-tiny things…so, today was one of those really super gorgeous, i love life days…i had to run out to Burlington to grab some Tiny materials and on the ride back i was really, quite actually enjoying Goddard College’s radio station WDGR…in the past I had been pretty annoyed by the station, specifically the show that is usually on in the evenings and is hosted by this very white sounding, and i am guessing, trustfundafarian who does this reggae show…does the child realize how condescending or perhaps insulting it may be for him to do his very bad, fake Jamaican accent whilst he waxes all irie about his musical selections???!!!! (oh, for those of you not in the know, Goddard is this private, liberal arts school nestled in Plainfield, VT…alma mater to David Mamet, William H. Macy, and I think Luis Guzman…yeah, while I dig on Bill and Luis, it is actually a pretty annoying little school and in fact i think it is going to close down…not sure…)anyway…I have found I really enjoy their electronica shows and also this one that plays a lot of this old time Mexican and Cuban music. I also was stoked, one evening when I stumbled upon this hour of non-stop Pat Benatar. You can check out the station on the internet…at least for the time being. And while on the subject, loosely, of Plainfield…last week Mikey bitched about how lame the pizza was at the new, Montpelier, Positive Pie…well, last Thursday I went to the original one in Plainfield, and it was really good and nowhere near as annoying as the new place…although you can tell it is a hippie hangout, but not in an irritating, stinky way.

Ugh…confession time…I am a completely lame friend and totally missed the following birthdays this month; Em, Linder and LQ…christ I suck…but shallowly enough, I feel better having admitted to it, here, in writing… Oh and one more ugh moment…did anyone catch the creepy photoshopped pic of katie and tom on the cover of last week’s New York Mag???…scary, yet believable!
