TinyTech Thursday

Thursdays are now a little more special as we have added a new weekly feature just for Tech. McMacalot and I are gonna geek out but spin it for the common man. So come along as we explore all the cool stuff hittin’ the streets.

The plan from Sony to launch the ice white PSP also comes with a new firmware update. The update includes WPA, the disabling of many home-brew hacks, a web browser, a new way of swapping pictures with buddies wirelessly and Portable TV which is supposedly going to allow users to transmit video to their PSP. This version of firmware should hit Japan this Wednesday and the white PSP will be out hopefully September 15. I’ve yet to hear about the release of the firmware release for the states, anyone know?! I would love to try that web browser out and finally have the use of WPA!

Have you been looking around for a PC case that’s just out of this world, maybe you’ve seen the Doom III or the Half Life 2 cases, but seriously, nothing is as cool as one of the cases Katsuya Matsumura is making. He sculpts them and then sells them for anything to $1000 - $3000 and then some. And yes, that nurse-looking girl in the middle of the above image is a PC case!

Last but not least, for you geeks and fans of Kevin Rose and crew, they have a podcast which is rather good. So pick up a copy of iTunes and search for “This Week In Tech”. They talk about all the new and upcoming gizmos and gadgets, company happenings, and lots of other techy things.
