Arrested Development and Segway. A bit of irony in those two things.
First Arrested Development. It would seem, according to Save our Bluths that the beloved Sunday night gutbuster might not be so beloved after all. At least according to the stuffed shirts at Fox. Golden Globes and Emmy’s not withstanding it would appear that the show is on shaky ground. Skip the bullshit “official” Fox site and head on over to the best news on Lucille and the gang at the Balboa Observer-Picayne or the “OP” as they like to refer to it. It’s officially billed as “Your hometown paper & Arrested Development Fansite. Good Stuff!
Ok next the Segway. Where should I start? Big ups to G.O.B. for rollin’ the contraption on “Arrested Dev” complete with a water bottle and monogrammed handlebar bag. The original Segway has been far from being a smash hit yet along comes word that Kamen and Co. are planning a 4-wheeled variant called the Centaur (read, butch). Yep it’s the old “if two wheels are good then four must be better” school of thought. Ultra-geeky, it’s aimed at a very small subset (hey I didn’t make this up) of customers that are off-road enthusiasts. Did I mention very small subset?
I can picture it in my mind. G.O.B. pulling a one-handed wheelie down the boardwalk with a frozen banana in hand.
