With the final copy of the 2005 TinyMeat catalog ready for printing, I was struck with a feeling so overwhelming, I almost peed myself…I want us to be super-duper successful and wealthy…phew…there…I said it! I want to see TinyMeat in every damn store I walk into…I don’t care…it is not shallow, it is being pragmatic! Good God, there is nothing wrong with wanting cash …I want to be able to stop worrying about all the shit that is tied into being middle class, I want to get rid of car payments, student loans, mortgages, credit card debt…all that tiresome stuff…it’s dead weight on my inner psyche. Yeah… so, ok, i agree… partially… that life is defined by more then money…yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s about finding a career that brings you fulfillment(which I have, but it doesn’t pay squat) and friends and family, but please…let’s be honest, some extra dough would be dandy and would help with my constant clinched jaw. So much is riding on this TinyMeat thing…yes, more than the money…Michael’s happiness, for one…his validation as a creative artist/designer, a stable and sound future for his little Miss Lu, hopefully getting out from under the great American way of life…DEBT…oops, that’s a money thing, too. So wait, most of what I just said is related to money…Michael being happier= less stressed (translated into finishing paying his ex, being able to provide for his daughter, keep his home), Lucy never having to go without or not being able to freely pursue the education of her choosing, and of course the debt thing…which for me has been amassed through my attaining the dream of being in a profession where living paycheck to paycheck is the pinnacle of financial success.
Right, so don’t you feel bad for me… now give me some candy…or better yet…buy some TinyMeat…NOW!
