Weezer’s Filming Their New Video Today
Over one hundred Weezer fans will appear as extras today (Monday, February 28th) when the band films their new video in Los Angeles, according to Billboard.com. The clip is for the song “Beverly Hills,” the first single from Weezer’s upcoming fifth album. The extras were selected through a lottery held at the group’s official website.
The yet-to-be-titled CD is tentatively slated to arrive in May, while “Beverly Hills” will make its way to radio stations in mid-to-late-March.
Work on the new record was partially delayed last fall while frontman Rivers Cuomo completed a semester at Harvard University.
Weezer’s first gig since 2002 will take place on April 30th during the first day of the Coachella Valley Music Festival in Indio, California. More North American tour dates are expected to be announced soon, while the group is also confirmed for two German festival shows on June 3rd and 4th.
